“Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.” – Joseph Campbell
Hey fam! Hope you’re all doing great! Hope Christmas shopping and all that good stuff’s coming along just fine…If you’ve not bought anything yet, please don’t delay…get out there and rob some stores of their discounts!!
Today, I want to talk about another characteristic of eagles – let’s call it…Wing power! When a storm hits, eagles are the only birds that are brave enough to stay in the air; other birds (the ducks, sparrows, and geese) head for their nests! lol…It gets even better. Eagles don’t just stay in the air, they fly into the storm!! Kinda cool huh? Those creatures have very incredible wing power!

Hey fam! Waking up this morning, I thought to myself, “Dang! I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve been neglecting my seeds in words fam!” Well, this is me trying to make it up to you!
Over the next few days/weeks, we’ll be talking about different characteristics of eagles, and the vital lessons we could learn from them! So, please tag along…let’s reason together for a bit!
** Oh! and by the way, my full name, Ugochukwu, means God’s eagle! Just thought I should get that out there :-p **
I want to start with the flight capabilities of eagles. I did some research and found out that in their top flight, bald eagles can fly as high as 30,000ft. That’s about the cruising altitude of jet powered airliners! This is one of the characterist
I was doing a personal review of myself lately and a few things came to my mind about personalities and affirmation. Do we realize how much power we give to the people around us? How someone tells you you’re looking good and all of a sudden your day brightens up and you feel good all through the day? Or how someone gives you an awful look and you get self conscious for the rest of the day? We tend to forget that we also have ourselves to uplift ourselves regardless of what anyone says or does. Does this mean affirmation from people around you is not important? No! But we’re going somewhere with this.
“A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down.” – Arnold H. Glasow
Hey fam!! I hope your October has been great thus far! Mine has been very busy! But I’m grateful that I have something productive to keep me busy! There’s something else I’m grateful for…True friends.
Even though the definition of a true friend varies from one individual to the next, I believe the universal attribute of a true friend is selflessness! A true friend is willing to go the extra mile for you; to place your affairs before theirs; to make tremendous sacrifices for you. It’s a display of love; one that will never be forgotten.
I watched this video today! Gotta say I applauded right after it on my chair watching on my laptop. Makes perfect sense and can be applied to almost every phase of life. Enjoy and watch multiple times if you need to ‘get it’. Keyword is this… You inspire action by telling ‘why’, then ‘how’ and then ‘what’. I wish I could express in words how well I see this picture in my head. Anyways, embedded below. Savor it…
As an introductory post, I decided to embed a video that I’ve really gotten to like so far. One of my personal bests from Anthony (Tony) Robbins; a motivational speaker that I hold dear because a lot of his material has guided and influenced me in phenomenal ways. Here we go
Now more than ever, you need these ~15 minutes that WILL change your life. In tribute, thank you Steve Jobs for your role in pioneering consumer technology as we know it and your story to inspire our generation and those after us. Some of us have built our dreams out of your reality. You have definitely put footsteps on the sands of time and you will be remembered.
Hey fam! I got my big brother to share a bit of his thoughts with you. Below is what he had to say. I hope you grab something from it! Enjoy!
Strange topic huh??? Of course I can guess yes!
Why diamonds?? Because my name is Icez??? Noooooooooo…but because I have lived to find out that if our lives are like diamonds(selective, rare, admirable etc), we’d live everyday glittering, shining and above all very very strong.
Note: Most diamonds are over three billion years old, two-thirds the age of the Earth. There are a few “youngsters,” though, which are only 100 million years old.
Lesson: If we try to live our lives like the diamond, we’d get old and still look as fresh as ever.
Hey fam! If you feel your environment is making it difficult for you to thrive and become your best, Bruce and I have got the perfect solution for you! B-D You see, sometimes it’s advisable to play the “Sucker” for a short period of time; if that’s what it’d take to get you where you want to go.
“If you have lived, take thankfully the past.” – John Dryden
Very often we get so overwhelmed by our “Big” problems that we don’t see the “Small” blessings in them. How many times have you been so wrapped up in what happened to you that you neglect to be thankful to God that you’re alive to tell the story? John Dryden made a great point when he said, “If you have lived, take thankfully the past.” This, I believe, is the new mindset we all should have. Even if you lost everything we had at some point, you’re still here to tell the story! You should be thankful for that. If you were really broke at some point, and had to beg for things, you should be thankful that you’re still here – and hopefully doing better.
